Santa and the Gallia County Community Christmas Project got some extra special help from the Gallia-Vinton ESC staff during the Christmas holiday shopping season. The staff arrived early on December 8, 2023, at Walmart in Gallipolis and completed the shopping list for 100 children in 3 hours. It took ten vehicles to transport the gift bags to the Job and Family Services office for distribution. Funds for the shopping event were donated by a Lightstone Generation LLC power station, the boot drive from the Gallia County Firefighters’ Association, and many others to the Body of Christ Outreach Ministry. Thanks to the collaborative efforts, the remaining 100 children in need of sponsorship received gifts. The Community Project successfully assisted 420 families, benefiting 954 children.
