The Gallia-Vinton ESC, in collaboration with the Ball State University History Department, is disseminating digital resources to teachers across the nation. Products have been developed by teachers from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) summer workshop entitled “The Democratization of the Automotive Industry: Construction, Culture, and Preservation” and are housed under ESC services at galliavintonesc.org. At three recent sessions presented at social studies conferences in Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois, Dr. Denise Shockley, GVESC Superintendent, and Dr. Ron Morris,Ball State University history professor and workshop director, showcased these primary sources, websites, core readings, lesson plans, podcasts, virtual field trips, and presentations that teachers can access.
